Hollingsead open edition prints are available at specific sizes, for a limited amount of time. As a Colorado based impressionist artist, my multitude of works play with texture, layering, abstraction and spontaneity. From her serenity to her wrath, dramatic lighting and expressions of nature inspire my creations. Geometric mysteries are often collaged underneath rich layers of painterly strokes, where experimentation and rhythmic patterns will emerge. My hope is to reveal the connective force that underlies all things, inspiring others to find presence in nature and courage to express their own flow of creativity.
Sitting Bull - By Brent Hollingsead: This one-of--kind acrylic print from an original painting featuring torn canvas collage details and splattered paint, features the late North American Indian, inspired by the photography of Edward Curtis.
Between 1900 and 1930, the photographer traveled deep into Indian territories and lived among dozens of Native tribes. He captured the authentic ways of life of over 80 Native cultures. His dedication culminated the production of The North American Indian, the most extensive and expensive photographic project ever undertaken.
